Ice Storm Hits Double Up Books
Winter is definitely here in Massachusetts!
We had our first storm of the season and it was a whopper. After two days of pouring rain, dropping temperatures caused heavy ice to form on trees and power lines causing them to fall down under the weight. Beginning on Thursday night, more than 350,000 people lost their electricity and many of them still don’t have power after 3 days. Homes and cars were damaged by falling trees and electrical poles. Roads were covered with debris and ice making them impassable. The scene around here was unbelievable.
Although Double Up Books lost power from Thursday to Saturday, we were able to temporarily relocate our facility and continue fulfilling orders with minimal delay. We expect business to be back to normal tomorrow, Monday. If you placed a new order between Thursday and Sunday, we anticipate that they will be shipped either Monday or Tuesday. We’ll email you when your order ships.
If you have any questions about our service during this time or an order you placed, please contact us at info@doubleupbooks.com or 1-888-574-0355. We want to thank you for your patience and support during this time.
