Happy New Year 2012 – Twins Style
Happy New Year 2012! First, I’d like to thank all of Double Up Books supporters and shoppers for a great year last year. It was our best year yet in retail sales and interacting with our customers. We couldn’t have done it without all the support that the twin and multiples community has given to us. Thank you!
We’re looking forward to another awesome year by providing you great service and a one-stop shopping experience for twin resources – and a little later this year, we’ll be celebrating our 5th anniversary! I can’t wait.
My twins are turning 7 this year and I have a lot of hopes and dreams for us in 2012. First off, I’d like to get a full 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep this year! But, I also hope that I can continue to pass on my love of reading to my twins now that they are becoming independent readers. I’ve started to see a spark of interest towards books as a form of entertainment and I hope to foster this throughout this year. It’s not only important to read to your children, but also important for them to see you reading!
Many blessings for a happy and healthy 2012!

I love this story! Fran Pitre is the proud mom of 3 sets of twins – yes, you read that correctly THREE SETS! Can you imagine?
Author Fran Pitre invites readers to come along with her as she shares the struggles, heartaches and moral dilemmas associated with infertility, and the incredible arrival of her three sets of twins.
In Twins X 3, Fran shares in detail her personal experiences with long-term infertility, morning sickness, high-risk multiple pregnancies, pre-term labor, breastfeeding twins, and the humor and challenges of parenting multiples.
Come and join the ride as Fran learns over and over in “Groundhog Day-style”, that she is expecting twins. Heart wrenching, funny, yet incredibly inspiring, Twins X 3 is an emotional roller coaster filled with love, pain, humor, fear, thanksgiving, anguish, joy and a healthy dose of faith and family which will cause every reader to laugh, cry and discover that they can relate to it all.

In addition to money saving opportunities, entwined community includes a monthly newsletter and BigTent membership group, where multiple birth families can come together to discuss how to start their own business, how to face the challenges of working out of the home, and more topics related to work and professional life. Although there are many sites and blogs related to twins and multiples, entwined community is the FIRST dedicated to supporting twin/multiples owned businesses.

Raising Twins by Dr. Flais
Do you think that being a pediatrician would make raising twins a lot easier?

Take a moment to get to know Dr. Flais, read her experiences raising her own twins, and learn about how being a pediatrician has helped her through the challenges.
Dr. Flais’ book is also the book of the month this month!

Twins Lit Author Interview with Sarah Pekkanen
“I just read the best book!” I’ve been saying that a lot lately about Sarah Pekkanen’s debut novel The Opposite of Me. The book is about fraternal twin sisters Lindsey Rose and Alex, the bond they share and the complexity of their relationship. It’s extremely funny, but also thought-provoking as well and I just loved it. The plot line is fresh and original and best of all, completely unpredictable. It held my attention right to the last page.
Read my interview with Sarah posted on our website to learn more about this great book and why Sarah choose twins as her main characters. This is definitely one author that you’ll want to keep an eye on.
Ultimate Blog Party
Hi! I’m Shelby – mom to preschool-aged boy/girl twins and I’m the founder of Double Up Books – The Premier Bookstore for Twins, Triplets & More… Double Up Books is one of the sponsors of this year’s blog party (but more about that later).
In addition to specializing in twins and multiples books, we also sell our exclusive Gaga for Mama babywear – babywear for babies that care.
Now on to the prizes! Double Up Books is proud to participate in this year’s blog party with 2 different prizes.
Forget Perfect by Lisa Earle McLeod

This is one of my favorite books! I read it about 4 years ago and it literally changed my life. Forget Perfect is a smart and funny look at how trying to be perfect actually gets in the way of happiness, and how letting go of being perfect means raising standards to live life to the fullest and appreciate the things that really matter.
Gaga for Mama is our exclusive line of babywear that lets moms know how much they are loved and appreciated. Each one of our hand designed baby bodysuits feature an inspiring message for moms.
Also available are coordinating pants, bibs, and hats in our super-soft cotton.
If you’re the winner of this prize, you’ll receive a bodysuit, pants, bib and hat in your choose of design, color and size.
Good luck! You can view all of the prizes by following this link.
Again, thanks for stopping by. If you leave a comment or add yourself to Google Friend Connect to let me know that you were here, I’ll be sure to stop by your blog too.
Here is my official party post! Thanks for swinging by my blog.
